Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge in Eureka Springs Arkansas

Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge is a USDA licensed facility dedicated to the rescue and life time care of abandoned and unwanted Big Cats.

We currently have 118 cats under our care - tigers, lions, cougars, bobcats, servals, etc. - plus an assortment of bear, deer, hoofed stock and small mammals.

Our dream for all of our Big Cats is for them to live in large natural enclosures. We now have eleven of them completed, ranging in size from 8,000 - 15,000 sqare feet, where 40 of our cats have the freedom to run on the grass and play under the trees.

We are open year round. Your all day admission includes up close viewing of the cats and other animals in our main compound, a guided tour of our natural habitat areas (every hour on the hour starting at 11:00 a.m.), and a return visit to watch late afternoon feeding (strictly processed meat, no live food).

We also have overnight accommodations for those who wish to hear lions and tigers calling to each other throughout the night, photo-wild and closed habitat camera sessions, and on-site wedding services (reservations required for all).

A gift shop, snack machines, comfortable swings and benches for relaxing, a small children's playground, and public restrooms are also on site.
